Common questions.
The practical things — booking, deposits, parking, and what a first visit is actually like. Treatment questions live on each service page.
Booking & policies
Do you take walk-ins?
No — The Quiet Skin is appointment-only, one client at a time. That’s what keeps the studio quiet, and it means the room is yours for the whole visit. Book online, or call or text (920) 214-5867. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 to 5, closed Sunday.
What’s the cancellation policy?
A non-refundable deposit secures your appointment and is applied toward your service total. Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice; otherwise the deposit is forfeited. Need to reschedule? We’re happy to accommodate with 48 hours’ notice.
How do I pay, and is a deposit required?
Yes — a non-refundable deposit is taken when you book, and it comes off your service total rather than adding to it. The balance is due at your appointment; we accept cash and major credit cards.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes — for any service, or any amount. You can buy one online through our Vagaro booking site, the same place you book an appointment. Prefer to arrange it in person? Call or text (920) 214-5867, or ask at your next visit. Facials and the dermaplaning-plus-facial pairing are the most-gifted.
Your first visit
What happens at a first appointment?
We start with a conversation: your skin history, what you’re using now, and what you’d like to change. Then we read the skin in front of us and choose the gentlest treatment that actually gets results. No pressure and no upsells — if something isn’t right for your skin, we’ll say so. Most new clients start with the 60-minute Signature Facial.
I’m not sure what to book. Where should I start?
A Signature Facial is the usual starting point — a full read of your skin plus a treatment built around what we find, so you leave with a plan as well as a result. Torn between a peel and dermaplaning? Start with the facial and we’ll tell you which one earns its place next. If you’d rather talk first, send a note.
I’ve never had a chemical peel. Do I need anything first?
Yes — a consultation is required before your first peel. We look at your skin, talk through your history and anything you’re using or taking, and choose the strength from there. You can book the consultation on its own, or start with a Signature Facial and we’ll plan the peel from what we find. Peels here are graded — Refresh, Clarify, and Brighten — and the chemical peel page explains how they differ.
When should I reschedule instead of coming in?
Please reschedule if you have an active cold sore, a sunburn, or broken or irritated skin in the treatment area. If you’re on Accutane, have had injectables recently, or are pregnant, message us before you book so we can choose something safe — pregnancy rules out certain peel acids, but not a facial. And if you’ve used retinoids or strong acids in the last few days, tell us; we’ll usually adjust the treatment rather than cancel it.
Finding us & the studio
Where are you located, and where do I park?
We’re at 4933 North Thistle Lane on Appleton’s northwest side, minutes from Grand Chute and a short drive from Neenah, Menasha, and Kaukauna. Park on the street in front of the house — it’s a few steps to the door. Full arrival details come with your booking confirmation.
Is the studio private? Can I bring someone with me?
It’s a private, one-room studio — you’ll never share the space with another client, and there’s no salon noise. Because the room is built for one, we can’t accommodate extra guests or children during your appointment. Anyone driving you is welcome to wait nearby.
Question about a specific treatment? Each service page answers its own: facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, and waxing.
