What a facial actually changes

A facial is not a one-visit transformation, and anyone promising that is selling something. What it does is real but specific: where extractions are part of the treatment it clears congestion that home care cannot reach, it removes the dead surface layer that makes skin look dull and stops product absorbing, and calms inflammation that has been running quietly for weeks.

The result you see the next morning — smoother texture, more even tone, skin that finally takes makeup evenly — comes mostly from those three things.

What it does not do is change your skin permanently on its own. Skin turns over on roughly a month-long cycle, so a single facial improves the cycle you’re in. Repeated visits improve the baseline. Choosing between the five

The Express — $55, about thirty minutes

A genuine facial rather than a sampler: cleanse, exfoliation matched to your skin, a mask, and hydration to finish. What it skips is the long massage and the extraction work — both of those live in the Signature. Book it when you want to look rested and have an hour between other obligations.

The Signature — $75, a full hour

The usual starting point, and the one to book if you’ve never been here. It’s also the facial built around extractions — the patient clearing of blackheads and congestion that home care cannot reach. A full hour is long enough to read your skin properly and build the treatment around what we find, so you leave with a plan as well as a result.

Anti-Aging — $95

Built around firmness and tone rather than congestion. Microcurrent pairs naturally with it if lift along the jaw and brow is the goal. It improves texture, brightness and how makeup sits — it does not replace injectables, and we’ll say so.

Luxury Relaxing — $110, ninety minutes

The long, slow one, hot stones included. Most people fall asleep somewhere in the middle. Book it when the point is the hour as much as the skin.

Back Facial — $110

The treatment nobody thinks to book. The skin on your back has more oil glands than your face and gets a fraction of the attention — and it’s the one place you genuinely cannot reach, which is why congestion there persists for years while everything else improves.

Facials here are for everyone. Men book them regularly, usually for razor irritation, congestion along the jaw, or sun damage from working outside, and there’s no lobby to sit in first.

Adding to your facial

Five enhancements can be added to any facial. Each one does something specific, so the right choice depends on what your skin needs that day rather than on what sounds best — and if the one you picked isn’t right for it, we’ll say so and take it off rather than charge for it.

• LED light therapy, +$20 — specific wavelengths to calm inflammation and support collagen. Best as a course rather than a one-off.
• Microdermabrasion, +$25 — diamond-tip resurfacing for stubborn texture, small bumps and dullness. Mechanical exfoliation you can feel working.
• Microcurrent, +$25 — low-level current to tone and lift along the jaw, cheeks and brow. Subtle at first, builds with repetition.
• Lymphatic massage, +$25 — light, slow strokes that move fluid and reduce puffiness. The gentlest thing on the list.
• Extended Extractions, +$25 — extra time for congestion that needs patient work. The Signature already includes extractions, so here it buys them longer; on any other facial, this is how extractions get added.

Do you offer back facials?

Yes — the Back Facial is a 60-minute, $110 treatment for the skin you can’t reach: a warm cleanse, gentle polishing, slow massage, and hydrating botanicals. It’s one of the most relaxing services on the menu, and it books like any other facial.

Do you offer facials for men?

Yes. Every facial here starts with reading the skin in front of us, and that doesn’t change with gender. Congestion, razor irritation, sun damage — the treatment is built around your skin, and beards are easy to work around.

Do you offer HydraFacials?

No. A HydraFacial is a fixed, machine-driven protocol; every facial at The Quiet Skin is customized by hand to what your skin needs that day — which is usually what people searching for a HydraFacial are actually after: deep cleansing, hydration, and glow. If that’s the outcome you want, start with the Signature Facial.

How often should you get a facial?

For most skin, every four to six weeks — roughly one full skin cycle. Anti-aging work builds best with monthly sessions, and a gentler rhythm may be right while a damaged barrier rebuilds. You’ll get an honest recommendation at your first visit, not a package quota.

How do I prepare for my first facial?

Come as you are — makeup is fine, we’ll cleanse it away. If you use retinoids or strong acids, pause them three to five days before your visit. Please reschedule if you have an active cold sore or sunburn, and if you’re on Accutane or pregnant, message us first so we can choose a safe treatment.
